Writing technical documentation is a difficult task. We’ve all come across poorly-written manuals with garbled instructions full of jargon.
In addition to being proponents of the gadget repair movement, the team behind iFixit and Dozuki have long been advocates for better tech writing. Earlier today, they released a free Tech Writing Handbook.
As you’d expect, most of the suggestions are common sense. Still, it’s a quick read with plenty of helpful info for anyone who’s involved in tech writing.
