If you’ve picked up a Lenovo Moto Z, HTC Bolt or HTC U recently, you probably noticed the 3.5mm headphone jack has disappeared. Yes, just like in the iPhone 7, the venerable headphone jack has been replaced. We’ll soon see more Android OEMs follow suit, and on Android devices, the replacement won’t be a Lightning connector, but a USB-C port. While the short-term pain of this switch might be frustrating to consumers.
