YouTube today announced plans to combat state-sponsored content and conspiracy theories. The platform plans to label all state-funded broadcasters and conspiracy theorists, a move to add much-needed context to the types of channels often responsible for the spread of misinformation. Often overlooked, YouTube offers yet another platform for the spread of misinformation.
