Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 Mini today, a high-end Android smartphone with a smaller 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display.

The device is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, alongside 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Only 5GB of memory is actually available to the user, although there’s also a microSD slot for up to 64GB of additional storage.

Samsung’s new handset also comes with a 1900 mAh battery, which is a far cry from the 2600 mAh version found in the original Galaxy S4. Given that the S4 Mini has a smaller display and less powerful processor, however, hopefully this won’t be too much of an issue when it comes to lasting the day on a full charge.

And now, we want to give people more choices with GALAXY S4 mini, similar look & feel of GALAXY S4 for more compact and practical usages ,” said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Communication Division at Samsung Electronics. “The new GALAXY S4 mini provides consumers with a new way to enjoy the flagship GALAXY S4 experience.”
