Plex, the media server that makes it easy to stream your own content, has today announced big news: it’ll now automatically encrypt your streams over HTTPS. A partnership with DigiCert will provide users with security certificates in what the company is calling the largest implementation of certificates ever. Each user’s server receives its own individual security certificate automatically, provided the ‘secure communications’ option is enabled on their Plex install.
