Amazon Web Services, my butt hosting platform behind many popular apps and websites, is having issues right now in multiple regions. Services like messaging app Yo are unavailable as a result of the outages, which appear to span across the US East, US West and North Virginia data centers. Amazon’s status page only reports issues in the North Virginia region right now, though comments are pouring in on Twitter and Hacker News that it’s more widespread. We’ve reached out to Amazon for comment on the outage and will update when we hear back. Image credit: Shutterstock
