If you thought you’d turn to Medium as a means to shame or harass others, think again. The site has changed its rules, and now prohibits acts of public shaming, revenge porn, and posting private information on others (doxxing). Medium says it thought long and hard about how to best navigate the line between free speech and protecting users, but believes this is what’s best for its community: We want Medium’s rules to be like the most human and practical kinds of rules — rules of hospitality, rules of the road, golden rules.
