Big cities have their own fair share of hippies, but it’s the 21st century, so even tree huggers have to go digital. New York City’s Upper West Side Councilmember Mark Levine has proposed a bill that would give about 200 of the city’s street-lined trees individual email addresses. “NYC is a tough place to be a tree,” Levine told Gothamist.
