BMW Labs has just opened its doors to enable people to test upcoming innovations. First on its list is an integration with IFTTT that lets car owners customize what their car can do using ‘recipes’ from the Web platform. Recipes created so far include one using Garageio to open your garage as you arrive, another for switching your Philips Hue lights on when you’re nearby, plus a number of location-based messaging services for your kids, housemates or finding your car in the parking lot.
