One of the worst things about Netflix is getting pumped to watch a new show or movie only to find out it’s not available in your country. Generally, it’s been pretty easy to get around that restriction using a proxy, but soon things might get a bit more complicated. Netflix today announced in a blog post that its security measures are going to improve over the “coming weeks” to appease disgruntled content owners. It will employ standard proxy and ‘unblocker’ detection to “respect and enforce content licensing by geographic location”. Nonetheless, the post reads somewhat apologetically.
